Book Blogger Hop; Do You Read Books By Authors From Outside Your Country?

It's Friday and time for a new Book Blogger Hop post, courtesy of Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. The question of the week was "Do you read books by authors from outside your country? Any book recommendations? Also, if non-US/UK, could you name one author/book from your country?".

As Norway is a small country, it's inevitable that I read books by authors outside my own country. I also have a World Literature Project going on, trying to read one book from every country in the extent that it is possible. You can find the list here and there's plenty of good books on the list, as I've read roughly 110 books at the moment.

As for my own country, Norway, feel free to check out the crime novel I Will Miss You Tomorrow by Heine Bakkeid.

  1. I just got a galley by Heine Bakkeid, Scatter Her Ashes. I’m looking forward to reading it.

  2. Just been looking at the progress you've made on your world literature project. Very impressive. I started something similar though smaller a few years ago but have found it hard to get books for some countries.

    1. Thanks for the comment. :-) I can't deny that I have some issues finding books for some countries. To make matters "worse", I know it's easier to find any in English versus Norwegian, which is my native language. It's not like all books are translated into Norwegian. :-P
