Review; The Happiness Diary: The Practice of Finding and Savoring Things to Be Joyful About by Barbara Ann Kipfer
Last year I was fortunate enough to recieve an ARC of The Happiness Diary: The Practice of Finding and Savoring Things to Be Joyful About by Barbara Ann Kipfer through Netgalley. I read it shortly afterwards and today I'll post my review.
Description from Goodreads
The Happiness Diaries offerspractical advice and exercises for cultivating a happiness practice. Filled with stories, lists, thought-provoking questions, and whimsical illustrations, you will learn tangible ways to capture and record happy moments based on your own style.
Featuring beautiful illustrations, this inspiring book presents prompts and exercises that draw upon writing, list-making, and charts that encourage reflection onwhat makes you truly happy. By doing the exercises, you'll get a personalized plan for cultivating mindfulness, living each day in the present moment, and finding joy in life's everyday events.
My Thoughts on the Book
This book has some (a lot) of easy exercises and cute/pretty illustrations. The book is also down-to-Earth and easy to understand in addition to make the reader and user think a bit. As with all self-help books, one should take things with a pinch of salt, but that is more common sense than anything else really.
