My Favourite... Newly Released Book

Image
It's Wednesday, which means it's time for a new My Favourite... post, courtesy of  Maureen's Books . The theme of the week was favourite newly released book. Personally, I really loved Romanov by Samaire Provost, which got published in January this year. I was fortunate enough to participate in the book tour of this novel and my review can be found  here .

My Favourite... Thing I Wish I Would Be Good At

Image
It's Wednesday and time for a new My Favourite... post, courtesy of  Maureen's Books . The theme of the week was thing I wish I would be good at. In my case, it would be cake decorating and I can easily admit that I am by no means skilled in it. I'm good at licking frosting of the spatula though, does that count for something? :-P

My Favourite... Thing About 2018 So Far

Image
It's Wednesday again, which means it's time for a new My Favourite... post, courtesy of  Maureen's Books . The theme of the week was favourite thing about 2018 so far. So far, it has been having an internship at a combined publishing house and indie bookstore (though the internship will probably end next week, I will know more next week though). It has been a fun experience, selling only books from publishers located in my area of Norway, in addition to having some amazing co-workers. The building itself might look a bit "boring" from the outside, but the courtyard in the back is almost something taken from a bright version of Pippi Longstocking's Villa Villakulla. Sometimes it is almost a bit baffling what costumers asks or are interested in. Like, earlier today I had this sweet retired couple (probably in their 70's, based on their looks) visiting the store, who were really interested in a local World War II photography book we had in the wind...

My Favourite... Dream Job

Image
It's Wednesday and time for a new My Favourite... post, courtesy of  Maureen's Books . The theme of the week was favourite dream job. My dream job may not come as a shocker for those who know me well enough, but I do want to become a novelist. I've loved to write for over 15 years, so it would be nice to actually get published. My Favourite... Thing To Do First Thing In The Morning

Image
It's Wednesday and time for a new My Favourite... post, courtesy of  Maureen's Books . The theme of the week is favourite thing to do first thing in the morning. My favourite two things to do first thing in the morning includes fixing my self a big mug of coffee and light a cigarette. Yes, I am fully aware that smoking cigarettes are bad for me, but at least I admit it. As long as I can have my coffee and cigarettes in peace in the morning, I'm pretty happy, especially considering I am NOT present in the morning, so I need my caffeine in order to wake up.

My Favourite... Musical Movie

Image
It's Wednesday, which means it's time for a new My Favourite... post, courtesy of  Maureen's Books . The theme of the week was favourite musical movie. Those who know me well enough, know that I have a weak spot for all things gothic, so I think there is no surprise that I will say The Phantom of the Opera (which technically is a movie adaption of the musical adaption of the novel by Gaston Leroux).

My Favourite... Book Blog To Visit

Image
It's Wednesday and time for a new My Favourite... post, courtesy of  Maureen's Books . The theme of the week is favourite book blog to visit. I enjoy quite a number of book blogs, but one of my favourites are  Paper Fury , especially with all those colourful photos and sometimes hilarious posts.

My Favourite... Dream

Image
It's Wednesday again and time for a new My Favourite... post, courtesy of  Maureen's Books . The theme of the week was favourite dream. I juggle between two answers; work abroad and get a phd in literature. I want to work abroad to explore the world a bit and the phd in literature is obvious; I'm a bit of a literature geek.

My Favourite... Thing To Do Next To Reading

Image
It's Wednesday, which means it's time for a new My Favourite post, courtesy of  Maureen's Books . The theme of the week was favourite thing to do next to reading. I enjoy doing a lot of various stuff, but one of my favourite things to do next to reading is visiting coffee shops and drink yummy coffee. An added bonus is, you guessed it, to bring a book to read while drinking that yummy coffee. My Favourite... Thing About Being A Reader

Image
It's Wednesday, which means it's time for a new My Favourite... post thanks to  Maureen's Books  and the theme of the week was favourite thing about being a reader. My favourite things about being a reader, apart from snuggling up on a cold, rainy day with a good book and a cup of coffee is that it gave me the option to study my favourite subject at university and actually major in English language and literature. It's also really fun to explore and learn new stuff through reading.

My Favourite... Children's Book

Image
It's Wednesday, which means it's time for a new My Favourite... post thanks to  Maureen's Books  and the theme of the week was children's book. Well, I'm sure I could have written a top 20 list, but one of my favourite children's books are Ronia the Robber's Daughter by Astrid Lindgren. There is something about the main character (Ronia) that I really like.

My Favourite... Recipe

Image
It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another My Favourite... post thanks to  Maureen's Books  and the theme of the week was favourite recipe. I couldn't decide between two, so I'm going to link up to both of them and they are  Asian Sweet Chili Sesame Chicken  and  Portugese Orange Cake . Please don't be too intimidated by the list of ingredients for the Sesame Chicken, it is a really tasty dish (and simple to make).

My Favourite... Art

Image
It's Wednesday again, which means it's time for a new My Favourite... post thanks to  Maureen's Books  and the theme of the week was favourite art. It's hard to pick in terms of art, as I love so much of it in quite different styles, but I can't deny that I really love yarn bombing and street art in general. Here are some examples of what I like. “You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection” ... #ballinonabudget #banksy #streetart #ballinonabudgetcollective #loveistheanswer Et innlegg delt av Ballin' On A Budget (@ballinonabudgetaus) torsdag 16. My Favourite... Book Blogger Experience

Image
It's Wednesday again, which means it's time for a new My Favourite... post thanks to  Maureen's Books  and the theme of the week was favourite book blogger experience. It's difficult pointing out just *one* favourite experience, as the total package of being a book blogger is pretty great. Everything from the great community via recieving press copies/advanced reader copies to discovering books I wouldn't have discovered if it hadn't been for the blogging and everything in between. One thing that stands out though, is how sweet the author and historian James Holland was when I was a bit confused about a type of tank he mentioned in his novel "The Odin Mission". Unlike some authors, that potentially can be bit full of themselves and don't even bother with the fans and their questions, James Holland actually gave me an answer and a decent one as well. No, there was a beast of a Mk VI in 1940, which was then discontinued and the name ...

My Favourite... Instagram Accounts

My Favourite... Hobby Next To Reading

Image
It's Wednesday, which means it's time for a new My Favourite... post thanks to  Maureen's Books  and the theme of the week was favourite hobby next to reading. Apart from reading and being a huge coffee drinker, some of my favourite hobbies includes knitting, cooking and baking. The benefit of baking is of course that sometimes I end up having yummy treats to eat while reading.

My Favourite... Music At The Moment

Image
It's Wednesday again, which means it's time for another My Favourite... post thanks to  Maureen's Books  and the theme of the week was favourite music at the moment. Even though I do have a weak spot for various sub-genres of rock and metal, I do have an eclectic taste in terms of music and two of my favourite songs at the moment are; Fee Ra Huri by Omnia Army by Katy Carr

My Favourite... Trilogy

Image
It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another My Favourite... post thanks to  Maureen's Books  and the theme of the week was trilogy. For me, one of my all time favourite trilogies are Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor, but I can't complain about Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien.

My Favourite... Childhood Movie

Image
It's Wednesday again, which means it's time for a new My Favourite... post thanks to  Maureen's Books  and the theme of the week was favourite childhood movie. I have no issues admitting that I was one of the more peculiar kids with a love of all spooky and creepy as a kid (yeah, two of my favourite cartoons were Scooby Doo and The Addams Family), so when I was around eight or nine, my favourite childhood movie was The Addams Family Values. I might add that I still love that movie and I do potentially have my Wednesday Addams - tendencies at times.

My Favourite... Movie of 2017

Image
It's Wednesday, which means it's time for a new My Favourite... post thanks to  Maureen's Books  and the theme of the week was favourite movie of 2017. As I book lover, I guess there is no surprise that one of my favourite movies of 2017 is The Beauty and the Beast with Emma Watson as Belle.
