Although I'm into all things morbid, mysterious, and macabre, I can admit I have some so-called "granny hobbies" too, which includes gardening and knitting. Shocking, I know, but they both help me relax a bit and as I have ADHD, knitting has almost turned into my "fidget toy" of sorts. An added bonus is that it comes something useful out of it. Don't get me wrong, this is still very much a book blog, but as it's September and thus autumn in my head, I just wanted to write a quick post that talked about knitting (a couple of the knitting patterns are literature-inspired though). Even though there's plenty of awesome horror novels published in the last decade or so, sometimes it's a bit fun reading older horror novels too and with that in mind, I decided writing a list of five older horror novels worth the read. It's almost Halloween at this point and as I've got a weak spot for gothic horror novels, why not write a book recommendation list of five gothic horror novels to pick up this autumn? As Halloween is approaching pretty fast, I figured out it was rather fitting writing a list of book recommendations for middle grade books one could read for Halloween. I would suspect there's some middle grade kids out there who likes to read and want to read something Halloween-themed, so why not? As it's autumn, I figured out I could write a list of blog post ideas for book bloggers, just so one had a bit of inspiration when in a writing slump. Let's face it, most of the autumnal blog post ideas-posts by other bloggers are often not geared towards book bloggers, so I thought it would be nice with one blog post geared towards the mentioned book bloggers, as I'm one myself. It's Caribbean Heritage Month in June, so it's only fair I write a book recommendations list, especially as I host the  2022 Diversity Reading Challenge .
