Book Tag Saturday; Ringing in the New Year Book Tag

Last year I came across the Ringing in the New Year Book Tag over at Megan @ Ginger Mom & the Kindle Quest, but I was a bit too late in writing a post at the time. The tag was created by Bookmark Chronicles.

First off, the rules.
  1. Link to the person who tagged you (that would be Kristin @ Lukten av trykksverte)
  2. Link to the creator of the tag (Bookmark Chronicles).
  3. Share the tag image (it’s up there at the top of the post if you need it).
  4. Answer the questions below.
  5. Tag friends (or not).
Now, over to the fun part - the questions.

Q1 – Best book and/or series that you’ve read in 2018?
I read so many good books this year, but three of my favourites were Coffin Road by Peter May, A Pair of Silver Wings by James Holland and The Girl Without Skin by Mads Peder Nordbo.

Q2 – Authors that you’ve recently found and would like to read more of in the new year?
I discovered Peter May this year and I want to read more of his books.

Q3 – Most anticipated book turned movie/tv show?
I know that A Pair of Silver Wings by James Holland is in pre-production at the moment and I really look forward to the movie adaption of this novel.

Q4 – Name a character that you wouldn’t mind sharing a kiss with at midnight (if there is one).
Feel free to laugh at this one, but I'm struggling between Mr. Darcy and Hercule Poirot.

Q5 – What’s on your TBR for 2019 (5-10 will suffice if it’s an extremely long list)?
My TBR for 2019 is still a work in progress until December next year, but some of the books I've considered reading for the Diversity Reading Challenge I'm hosting are;
  • The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
  • The Marriage Bureau for Rich People by Farahad Zama
  • A Place Called Milagro de la Paz by Manilo Argueta
  • Mother to Mother by Sinduwe Magona
  • The Death of Vishnu by Manil Suri
  • The Dog Who Dared To Dream by Sun-Mi Hwang
Q6 – How many books do you hope to read in 2019?
Well, as I read over 120 books this year, I'm aiming for the same number in 2019.

Q7 – Will you be particpating in the Goodreads Reading Challenge or any others (PopSugar, Down the TBR Hole, etc)?
I'm planning on doing the Goodreads Reading Challenge again, but apart from that I haven't quite decided on what other challenges I want to participate in. There's so many fun and interesting ones, it's sometimes hard to pick.

Q8 – Any New Year’s Resolutions (bookish, blogging /vlogging, or otherwise)?
Read at least 120 books and host Diversity Reading Challenge.

I'm not going to tag anyone, but rather make it free for all.

  1. Cool tag. I’m doing the Goodreads challenge next year, but that’s it. I failed at all of my challenges this year. Good luck with your reading list! I have 40 books sitting on my shelf that I need to read next year.

    1. Thanks. :-) If it is to any comfort, I had an epic fail on the Back to the Classics Challenge, so don't feel bad for only doing the Goodreads challenge.
