Top Ten Tuesday; Platonic Relationships in Books

It's Tuesday, which means it's time for a new Top Ten Tuesday post, courtesy of That Artsy Reader Girl. The theme of the week was platonic relationships in books (friendships, parent/kid, family, etc).

My picks are;

Harry, Hermione and Ron from the Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling (though I should mention Dumbledore as well)

Weetzie Bat and Dirk from the Weetzie Bat series by Francesca Lia Block

Lin and Rufus from The Twistrose Key by Tone Almhjell

Charlie and his grandfather from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl

The elder artist and her granddaughter in The Summer Book by Tove Jansson

Skeeter, Aibileen and Minny from The Help by Kathryn Stockett

Arabella Holmes and Dr. Watson, plus the father/daughter relationship with her father Sherlock Holmes in Boneseeker by Brynn Chapman

Karou and Zuzana in the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy by Laini Taylor

Ruthie and Alice (daugher/mother) in The Winter People by Jennifer McMahon

Kimmy and her grandmother in Grandmother's Dreamcatcher by Becky Ray McCain

Comments

  1. I have Daughter of Smoke and Bone sitting on my TBR shelf. Hopefully I can read it in December. I need to read The Help eventually, too.
