Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge; Favourite Holiday of the Year and Why

It's Wednesday and probably time for a new Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge post, courtesy of Long and Short Reviews. The theme of the week was favourite holiday of the year and why.

For me it's Halloween, as I can easily showcase my more gothic sides in addition that I have an excuse to indulge in paranormal and horror novels.

  1. My daughter's favorite holiday is Halloween as well. Now that she has little ones, she's had to scale back a bit on the scarier decorations, but she still goes all out. It's fun to see.

    1. Maybe for the best to scale back a bit on the most scary stuff if she has little ones, but it's still fun that she goes all out.

  6. When I was younger and could dress in sexy costumes, I enjoyed it a whole lot more! My friends had never heard of an "adagio" dancer when I was in college and made myself a costume to dress as one! Lots of fun.

  9. When we lived in base housing, we'd get trick-or-treaters by the hundreds. I loved it! Where we live now, we don't get any and I miss seeing everyone dressed up and having a great time. Thanks for sharing!

    1. That sounds like lots of fun. Too bad Halloween isn't as big in Norway as it's in the US. There's been times when I haven't had a single trick-or-treaters at my door.

  10. Yay!! Someone who likes horror novels too. I adore them, along with any gothic style stories. Have you read The Silent Companions by Laura Purcell? A perfect Halloween read.

    1. Horror novels for the win, especially if they've got a gothic vibe. I haven't read The Silent Companions yet, but thanks for the recommendation.
