Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge; Books I Love that Became Films or TV Shows
It's Wednesday and time for another Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge thanks to Long and Short Reviews. The theme of the week was books I love that became films or TV series. While several of my favourite books have been adapted to either film or TV, I'm not going to list them all.
Here is anyway five of my favourite books that has been turned into films or TV series.
Chocolat by Joanne Harris
Dracula by Bram Stoker
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey
The Hound of the Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie
Ahh, another Agatha fan!!! great choices.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Nice to see I'm not the only Agatha fan. :-)
DeleteDracula was such a great film! Now I want to go watch it again. :)
ReplyDeleteMy post.
Which adaption are you thinking about? :-)
DeleteThe original Dracula was great. I love the Agatha Christie books to movies. I read all of her books back in high school. Great list!
ReplyDeleteI guess you might be refering to the German silent movie in regards of Dracula, which is great? Though the one with Bela Lugosi is pretty good as well. :-) And yeah, Agatha Cristie movies for the win. :-)
DeleteI didn't think to list Christie and the Sherlock books... loved them. And, Dracula is awesome. Great choices!! My post is here: http://jhthomas.blogspot.com/2019/05/wednesday-weekly-blogging-challenge_22.html
ReplyDeleteThere's so many good books to movies, it's sometimes difficult remembering them all. :-)
DeleteOh wow, I saw Chocolat in the theater when it came out. I don't think I knew it was a book first. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest absolutely broke my heart, but what a great movie. I've seen the others, and prefer the original Dracula (vampires shouldn't sparkle, I'm sorry). Great list!
