Let's Talk Bookish; Making Friends Through Blogging

It's Friday and time for a new Let's Talk Bookish post, courtesy of Book Nook Bits. The topic of the week was making friends through blogging.

Here's the further questions/prompts.
Is blogging a good platform for making friends? Is it only new bloggers that are going to make friends with one another? Does blogging allow for connecting with people of different ages and different backgrounds? How easy or hard has it been for you to make friends through blogging?

Blogging may make like-minded people more accessable and easy to find, but whether or not blogging is a good platform for making friends, I'm a bit torn. Acquaintances? That's fairly easy to make thanks to blogging. Friends? Well, that's a bit harder. And of course it depends on what people mean by friends.

What I do believe on the other hand, is that it's fully possible connecting (in varying degree) with people of different ages and/or backgrounds thanks to blogging.

I can admit that, as a true introvert, I've skirted around the edges a wee bit within the blogging community, so my efforts to actually get friends and such has been minimal and therefore made it a lot harder to make friends through blogging, but I believe in quality over quantity.
