As I've done The Mid-Year Freak Out Tag earlier years, I wanted to do it this year too. That said, I have been slacking off a bit this year in terms of reading horror and paranormal books, but hopefully I can pull this blog post off somewhat.

Tunnel of Bones by Victoria Schwab was pretty good in my opinion.

New Release You Haven’t Read Yet, But Want to?
Slasher by Andrew Alman is a new release I'd love to read.

Most Anticipated Release of the Second Half of 2025?
It's hard to choose just one book, but A Harvest of Furies by Hayden Casey looks really interesting to me.

Biggest Disappointment?
For me, it was this collection of comics. I'm not sure what it's called in English, but hopefully someone will know based on the characters and the illustrations.

Biggest Surprise?
Starblood: The Graphic Novel by Carmilla Voiez

Favourite New Author?
No new author favourites yet, but fingers crossed I'll find someone in the later half of the year.

Newest Fictional Crush?
None yet.

Newest Favourite Character?
None yet here either.

I can't say horror and paranormal novels make me cry.

I rarely watch book to movie adaptions, as I usually just get disappointed.

As we're writing 2022 in two months, I figured out it was time to announce the 2022 Diversity Challenge. I've hosted it in 2019 and 2021, and decided to host it next year too. I’m not going to make any categories or levels for this challenge, as I want it to be a bit flexible. Top Ten Tuesday; Reasons Why I Love Being a Book Blogger

It's Tuesday again and time for a new Top Ten Tuesday post, courtesy of  That Artsy Reader Girl . The theme of the week was reasons why I love X and I decided writing about why I love being a book blogger. 1) It gives me an outlet for my book passion 2) It gives me an excuse to read (not that I need an excuse of course) 3) The perk of recieving press copies from authors and publishers 4) The nice comments from authors when they've seen I've written a nice review of one of their books 5) Being part of the book blogger/bookish community, even if it has some flaws 6) Having a platform where I can raise awareness about diversity from time to time (and other issues related to books/literature) 7) Connecting with other book lovers 8) Discovering all the amazing books that's out there 9) Dabbling with Bookstagram 10) Getting inspiration, both in terms of books to read, but also book merch to buy, topics to talk about, etc.
