Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge; Favourite Comfort Foods
I'm one of those who loves food with a bit of flavour in it and often gravitate towards Thai and Chinese dishes, but I enjoy food from a lot of countries. A few of my favourite comfort foods are Italian Lamb Ragu, Romanian Paprika Chicken, and Thai Satay Chicken. I honestly doubt I'm the only one who finds comfort in a bowl of tasty pasta though.
I've found a nice recipe of lamb ragu online that I've made several times over the last couple of years. While it takes a while to make, it tastes really good. When it comes to paprika chicken, well, as I'm a bit of a Dracula geek, I doubt it's to anyone's surprise that I'm mentioning a dish from that book.
Anyway, here's links to recipes in case anyone wants to make any of them at home.
I used to love Thai food! I haven't eaten it in years, but you've just reminded me to add to my list of foods to reintroduce. 🙂🙂
ReplyDeleteI mean, come on, who wouldn't want to eat Paprika Chicken? Jonathan would be proud. Usually when I'm going for a comfort food I don't have the oomph to do extensive cooking, but I'm fortunate enough to live in an area where a lot of different kinds of food are available.
ReplyDeleteThese sound amazing. I haven't tried lamb ragu, but might need to. We like lamb. Chicken is also a staple at our house. Thanks for sharing.
