My Thoughts on the Book
Dutch Girl is an emotional book at times and it sheds light on a dark era of European history. It tells of Audrey's struggles and the book gives context to various topics, like the brutal execution of her uncle. As it is also often easy to get caught up in concepts and the technical stuff of a war, Dutch Girl also gives a human side to the story of World War II and for that reason alone Dutch Girl should be read.
