Book Blogger Hop; Choosing a Favourite Book

It's Friday and time for another Book Blogger Hop post, courtesy of Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. The question of the week was "Could you ever pick a favourite book or is it like choosing your favourite child?".

I know I would struggle big time if I was to choose ONE favourite book, as things change over time. I might have some overall favourites, like Bram Stoker's Dracula and Erin Morgenstern's Night Circus, but as far as the rest goes, a favourite book when I was fourteen may not be my favourite book at the age of twenty nine.

  1. Yes definitely. I still recall my childhood favourites, Pollyanna and A Little Princess, but I've definitely got more favourites now.

    1. I can't deny I've got a few childhood favourites as well. There's so many good books out there, how on earth is it possible to pick a favourite?

  2. Very true. Our choices can definitely change over time.

  3. Exactly! Such a good answer. Favourite books can change all the time, which is why I'm always hesitant to deem a book my favourite of all time, so I definitely know what you mean.

Though, both Dracula and The Night Circus are amazing!

Feel free to check out my Book Blogger Hop answer if you wish! :)

    1. Let us just say that there's reasons why I prefer to list my "current favourite books". :-)

  4. I have no problem naming a childhood favourite, but as an adult, there isn't one that has made such an impact (so far)

    1. I see what you mean, as not all books makes an impact.
