Book Tag; Autumn Reading Tag
I came across the Autumn Reading Tag over at Alli the Book Giraffe and I decided to do it, as I love autumn and it's been a while since the last time I've done a tag. If anyone else wants to do this tag, consider yourself tagged.
Are there any books you plan on reading over the autumn season?
September brings back to school memories: What book did you most enjoy studying? And, what were your favorite and least favorite subjects in school?
October means Halloween: Do you enjoy scary books and films? If so, what are some of your favorites?
With November it’s time for bonfire night & firework displays: What’s the most exciting book you’ve read that really kept you gripped?
What book is your favorite cozy comfort read?
Curled up with a good book: What is your hot or cold drink of choice?
Any plans you’re looking forward to over the next few months?
If everything goes according to plan, a couple of books I'm planning to read are The Daughter of Doctor Moreau by Silvia Moreno-Garcia and Vampires of El Norte by Isabel Cañas.

One of the books I enjoyed studying the most, was probably The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien back in high school. I couldn't complain about that reading assignment, that's for sure. I can't deny my favourite subjects were probably Norwegian, English, and history, and perhaps no surprise I hated math. I'm fine with basic and useful everyday math, but ask me about (fancy) algebra and what-not, I'm zoning out.

As the main focus of this book blog is horror and paranormal, it's no surprise I enjoy scary books and movies. When it comes to books, a couple worth mentioning are The Long Shadows of October by Kristopher Triana and Brother by Ania Ahlborn, but there's so many good ones out there. For movies, I really enjoy the version of Dracula with Bela Lugosi as Dracula himself.

I'll mention one standalone book and one book series. The standalone book is Tender is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica and the series is The Gravekeeper by Darcy Coates. Just be warned though, Tender is the Flesh is a bit disturbing to put it mildly.
What book is your favorite cozy comfort read?
One of my favourite cosy comfort reads is The Vampire Knitting Club series by Nancy Warren, which is a paranormal cosy mystery series set in Oxford (UK).
Curled up with a good book: What is your hot or cold drink of choice?
I prefer hot drinks as I read, and I switch a bit between chai latte, hot chocolate, and tea, all depending on my mood.
Any plans you’re looking forward to over the next few months?
One plan that I'm looking forward to is visiting a local farmer's market/harvest festival of sorts.
