Let's Talk Bookish; Mid-Year Check-In

It's Friday again, which means it's time for yet another Let's Talk Bookish post courtesy of Book Nook Bits and Dinipanda Reads, and today's topic is mid-year check-in.

Now that we’re halfway through the year, let’s check in! How has your reading year been so far? What reading/blogging achievements are you most proud of? Looking forward, is there anything you want to change up for the rest of the year?
So far, my reading year has been okay with both some ups and some downs. I haven't read as many horror and paranormal books as I should in order to maintain this blog properly, but I have enjoyed reading a few, such as The Vengeful Dead by Darcy Coates and Tunnel of Bones by Victoria Schwab. I've been reading roughly 100 books though, but as mentioned, few of them has been horror or paranormal.

Hopefully I'll manage to read a few more spooky books in the later half of the year, just so I can post some more reviews on this blog, but let's see what happens, as I've in general struggled a bit with blogging lately, regardless of my lack of book reviews.

Even though I'm technically having a hiatus for my book blogging at the moment, I still wanted to announce the 2025 Diversity Reading Challenge, just in case anyone wanted to participate in it and start planning their TBR pile. As we're writing 2022 in two months, I figured out it was time to announce the 2022 Diversity Challenge. I've hosted it in 2019 and 2021, and decided to host it next year too. I’m not going to make any categories or levels for this challenge, as I want it to be a bit flexible. Top Ten Tuesday; Reasons Why I Love Being a Book Blogger

It's Tuesday again and time for a new Top Ten Tuesday post, courtesy of  That Artsy Reader Girl . The theme of the week was reasons why I love X and I decided writing about why I love being a book blogger. 1) It gives me an outlet for my book passion 2) It gives me an excuse to read (not that I need an excuse of course) 3) The perk of recieving press copies from authors and publishers 4) The nice comments from authors when they've seen I've written a nice review of one of their books 5) Being part of the book blogger/bookish community, even if it has some flaws 6) Having a platform where I can raise awareness about diversity from time to time (and other issues related to books/literature) 7) Connecting with other book lovers 8) Discovering all the amazing books that's out there 9) Dabbling with Bookstagram 10) Getting inspiration, both in terms of books to read, but also book merch to buy, topics to talk about, etc.
