Smakebit på Søndag; Little Bookshop of Murder: A Beach Reads Mystery av Maggie Blackburn

Image
"Summer Merriweather slipped off her flip-flops, allowing the sand’s warmth to comfort the bottom of her feet like it had thousands of times before. She looked out over the waves, the water shimmering in the soft pink morning light. She walked toward the water and gazed over the horizon—the line between the sky and sea barely visible. A seagull cried in the distance. Another one flew in front of her and landed on the wet, shiny sand. “Sorry, I have noth...

Image
It's Friday and time for a new Book Blogger Hop post, courtesy of Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer . The question of the week was What upcoming books are you intrigued to read in 2021?". Book Blogger Hop There's plenty of books that sounds like fun to read and three of them are Deadly Delights by Laura Jensen Walker, Murder at the Lakeside Library by Holly Danvers and Reserved for Murder by Victoria Gilbert. I can't deny I have a weak spot for cosy mysteries, which is part of the reason why I've listed three cosies.

Book Tag; The Guilty Reader Book Tag

Image
I came across The Guilty Reader Book Tag over at  The Tattooed Book Geek  and I decided to play along. Question 1: Have you ever re-gifted a book that you’ve been given? Not yet, but I have returned books to bookshops in those cases where I had the book already or someone was "smart enough" giving me a Bible for Christmas. Question 2: Have you ever said you’ve read a book when you haven’t? It has happened on a rare occasion. I'm not saying what books, though. ;-) Question 3: Have you ever borrowed a book and not returned it? Not yet, especially as I'm rather protective of my own books, so I always return books I borrow from others. Question 4: Have you ever read a series out of order? I have done it several times, especially with cosy mysteries. Question 5: Have you ever spoiled a book for someone? If I have, I don't remember doing it. Question 6: Have you ever dogeared a book? When I was a kid and a teenager, it did happen I dogeared a few books. Question 7: Hav...
